Hi, I am Morten, a Danish serial entrepreneur living in Split, Croatia. For the last 15 years, I have been blogging about traveling in Croatia and other places, mainly in Europe. I have visited most parts of Croatia and have lots of favourite places—it’s impossible to pick just one spot!

My Favorite Places in Croatia:

• Istria, particularly Rovinj, Porec, and Pula.
• Mali and Veli Losinj.
• Dalmatian Islands (Brac, Hvar, Vis, Solta, Ciovo, Korcula). My secret spot is located on Island Hvar, and I prefer to keep it secret, which is why I cannot provide any details about it 😉.
• Split, of course. I have lived here for 20 years, so I obviously love the place.
• Dubrovnik needs no further introduction.
• National Parks in Croatia, particularly Plitvice Lakes and Krka Waterfalls. I have visited Plitvice about 15 times over the years; the place is just magnificent.
• Other Islands in Croatia. You just fall in love with each one of them.
• And last but not least, the north eastern part of the country

My list could go on and on. Literally, there are so many great places in Croatia; depending on one’s preferences, there is a perfect spot.

On My Bucket List for Croatia:

• Mljet Island, Lastovo Island, Island Pasman, Ugljan, and other islands near Zadar.
• A revisit to Slavonija, the northeastern part of Croatia.
• And much more…

Worldwide places I Have Visited for Shorter or Longer Periods:

Living in Europe, it is, of course, easy to visit a lot of countries. I have been to most countries in Europe for shorter or longer periods. My favorite countries to visit in Europe are Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland, and the countries neighboring Croatia: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Slovenia, and Italy.

In addition to visiting countries in Europe, I have also been to the USA a couple of times, as well as Israel, Argentina, Thailand, and Malaysia.

On My Bucket List for the Rest of the World:

Iceland, Scotland, the Norwegian fjords, Canada, and Southeast Asian countries like Vietnam, the Philippines, and Cambodia.

What i do professionally:

I have been an Entrepreneur for more than 20 year, where I successfully managed to bootstrap two companies to profitability.

From time to time i am a speaker or panelist at conferences, where I share my knowledge about travel and entrepreneurship.

The prices of renting a bus in Croatia depend mainly on the following parameters:

• Size of the vehicle (Number of seats)
• Age of the vehicle, newer buses are more expensive and more secure
• Type of bus (classic, comfort, luxury)
• Special requirements / Equipment, e.g. Wheelchair lift
• Time of rental – off season is usually cheaper than main season
• Early morning and late evening transfers are usually cheaper, as the bus then can be used for other tasks during day time
• Transfers – one way or return
• 1 driver / 2. drivers (more than 8.5 hours of driving time – check google maps)
• Toll fees – included or not included
• Point to point, day (8-10 hours) or 24h rental

A standard one day rental offer usually includes a driver, 200-300 km of driving and a maximum of 8 hours of driving time. Below you can find a list of price ranges for a one day rental (without extras like, 2 drivers, highway toll, parking fee etc.) of various coach sizes. (Per person = by full bus).
