Driving to Krka National Park From Split

If you have a car at your disposal, you can easily drive to Krka from Split, the driving distance  Is 83 Km to the Lozovac entrance and 87 km to the Skradin entrance.

Here are some of my tips that might be helpful.

  • Regardless of which entrance you choose, you will see the same area of the park.
  • The entrance in Skradin includes a 20-minute boat ride to Skradinski Buk, which means your visit to Krka will be longer if you choose this entrance (Note: The boat departs every hour during the summer season).
  • Parking is free at the Lozovac entrance but not at the Skradin entrance.
  • If you are traveling with smaller children, you can cut the trip in half by walking from Lozovac to Skradinski Buk (or the opposite direction) and then taking the free park bus back to where you entered the park.
  • Skradinski Buk is the lower part of the national park. When traveling by car, I would also recommend visiting the middle and upper parts, including Visovac Island, Roški Slap Waterfalls, Krka Monastery, and the Burnum Amphitheatre. All these places can be visited without any additional entrance fee, except for Visovac Island, where you will have to pay for the boat transfer
