Trogir is a small town with a couple of things to see in the very center - the old town. It's small enough that you can just walk around and see everything. We ate burgers at Big Mom's - they were good.

Our stay this time was very short but we liked the atmosphere of the old town. Lots of tourists still but quieter in the evening. walking inside the old town is easy, it is so small that one cannot get totally lost, the sea always lurks at the end of some street. The main road outside the old town is now under repairs, that a litte bit cursed difficulties for walking - but a passing problem! Maybe the walking bridge - which was not in use now - will also be repaired.

I love Trogir, it was my second visit.
I love Trogir, it was my second visit. The city has all these little streets and historical buildings that are very cool to see. The town gets a bit crowded in the evenings, if you want to explore, it's better to do during the day time. There is a number of small museums but they aren't very informative or interesting, I planned two days for the sightseeing and museums but that was too much time.
That said, it's a magical experience walking those cobblestone streets having the city's long history in mind. It's obviously not at the scale of Dubrovnik or Split but it's a lot less crowded.

Old town trogir is a beautiful place.
Old town trogir is a beautiful place. It's quite small so you can easily walk through it in few hours. Bars and restaurants are abundant.
We visited in October which I guess is not high season. The temperarture was perfect, 25 C during the day and still pleasent in the evening. A very relaxing stay.
We visited the castle and the museum. Neither of them was very impressive. The castle should only be visited for the view. There is not much to see inside.

Nice little town with cool old streets.
Nice little town with cool old streets. I found a few places with live music in the evening, and several places with good food. The only thing I don't really like is all the big boats blocking the view. (Like yachts.)
The landlady was so welcoming and nice! Even though she doesn't speak English, she managed to explain everything to us. She served us one evening with some Croatian dishes which were delicious. The rooms and the patio space were really clean. There is a well equipped kitchen, with all that one might need. The sea is 50 m away: one crosses the road and there it is. Trogir - the old town is 5 min by car. There are restaurants and a good supermarket 2 min away on foot. There is a parking space near-by.
We travelled in Croatia over about a week from Dubrovnik to Rovinj. The room was spacious with all of the facilities that you would expect. Tea, coffee, water, etc. and compared very favourably with other stays throughout our holiday. The location was fabulous and convenient for the Trogir Old Town and the ferry to Split. Oh and of course! Free parking!
Our host was knowledgeable about the town and was incredibly helpful with recommendations for restaurants and beaches. Elena you were a star!
Croatian coast is for our family rather a winter destination. No crowds and unique Christmas atmosphere. This year we celebrated New Year in Trogir.
We had a good luck and found a perfect apartment right in the middle of the historic old town. Vesna, our host, was fantastic. We felt like at home. Vesna gave us a large pot of local food, prosecco for celebration, sweets to enjoy and some small presents.
Apartment was well equipped, all appliances in perfect condition and new furniture.
The apartment was nice, and good value for money, and it had everything you need. The host was also super nice and the landlady who greeted us as well. The beach is close and so is a small convenience store (both down a steep hill dough, but that was expected). The beach was ok, but there are much nicer beaches also in Croatia. Would recommend renting a car and exploring around. AC was working good. Overall, a nice place, and would recommend for a budget stay.
Ivan and Zeljka (and their children) were amazing hosts! We felt like at home in their apartments. The apartment is beautifully furnished, with modern furniture and appliances, well-equipped kitchen and everything you need. A large terrace overlooks the old town of Trogir, which is about 15 minutes walk down the hill. We would definitely recommend Valjan Apartmani to anyone, especially families with children! Thank you Ivan/Zjelka for your hospitality!
Rooms were spacious, modern, and comfortable, with a well stocked kitchen, and the facilities were nice, including the pool, grill, and large dining table outside. Plenty of room for our large group to spend time together. Great location too - the beach is just meters away, and the property is a short walk to restaurants and supermarkets. Our host was super friendly and responsive. This was definitely the nicest place we stayed at in Croatia.
Good location, in the middle of old town of Trogir. Clean facility and nice outdoor seating to have breakfast. It was not a hotel, more like an apartment. A lot cheaper than other accommodation nearby. Close walk (less than 10 mins) to the beaches both in Trogir and Ciovo. Also close to meet-up spot for day excursions like the three-island day excursion, and close to the communal boat that takes you to Split and nearby islands/beaches.
We stayed here to be close to the airport for our early flight the next day. What a treat. A very modern room in a 500 year old building right in the old town. Excellent restaurant on site, but close to all the restaurants and sites of old town. The room was comfortable quiet, excellent bedding and, important for my husband, coffee in the room. Thanks for making our last day in Croatia special.
Excellent friendly hosts. Marina’s father was lovely greeted us with Croatian wine and home grown tomatoes. Marina was excellent on what’s app giving me lots of recommendations and information every day. We went with her recommendation to use Vir rafting to do our raft tour at Omis, which was great. Really recommend this accommodation and hosts as a family of 4 we had a great time.
We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! Stunning ambiance throughout the entire property. The reception, complete with sparkling wine, set the tone for a great experience. The breakfast was truly top-notch, offering a variety of high-quality options that exceeded our expectations. Without a doubt, this is the best hotel in town and the surrounding region.
Amazing place! Spacious, clean, comfortable, homey room, so much better than a hotel!. Super bonus - pergola overlooking the marina with the view of old town Trogir - so pleasant to sit on the couch and people and boat watch. The hostess Arijeta and her family are very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely come and stay here again! Hopefully soon 🙂
Best place we stayed on our entire 16 day trip around Croatia. Absolutely gorgeous hotel room in the centre of old town Trogir. The breakfast the next morning was sublime and we unfortunately had to rush when eating it as we had to get to the airport. We come to Okrug most years and will definitely come back and stay at this place
We loved our room and the location. We had a balcony that had a view across the water to Trogir. Easy walk across the bridge to the Old Town. We were on the second floor and had a window that looked out onto the water and the Old Town. When we closed the window to sleep, there was no noise from the street. It was very quiet.
Our room was huge and impeccably clean! The AC worked great (which was a problem at some of the other hotels we stayed at in Croatia). Ivan was so friendly and helpful. He took the time to recommend things to do and places to eat, and also coordinated a ride to the airport for us.
The hotel has a very good ambiance, built by good quality materials. has everything what you need in a hotel. Hotel’s stuffs were so professional and kind which you can see very rare in Croatia. Good breakfast, free parking, not far to the old city of Trogir. I would recommend it.
I wanted to spend my last night in Croatia in a fun little town, close to the airport (6 am flight), and it needed to be affordable. This place checked all the boxes for me. I will definitely stay here again.
Friendly, spotless clean, good food, great seaview. Quiet in the evening. Within easy walking distance of Trogir old town. Great value for money. A perfect base to explodere this part of Croatia.
